The 2638 drives 16-gauge 1" crown staples with lengths ranging from 5/8" to 1 1/2". Built for all day continuous use, the GREX 2638 is compact and lightweight for maximum mobility. The 2638 has many attractive features: Penetrate hardwood, quick release nose cover, depth of drive adjustment dial, and easy drop-in loading. Additionally, the 2638 is equipped with an adjustable shingle/siding guide for fast accurate staple placement into siding and shingles. The protective side guards prevent shingle roofing granules from scratching the 2638 and prevent the GREX 2638 from slipping when placed on inclined surfaces. Suggested applications: furniture frames, cabinet assembly, case back installation, box spring assembly and manufacturing, subflooring, wall and roof sheathing, fascia and soffit, underlayment, crate and pallet construction, sash and millwork, fencing, butt joints, trusses, roofing, etc.
